Fantastic Fives on Angie Fox

Five words and/or phrases that describe you:

Hopeless romantic
Book geek
Diet Coke addict
Class clown
Loyal friend

Five people and or things that inspire you:

Josh Holloway with his shirt off
Deadlines
A fantastic novel
An entire afternoon with my laptop
My four-year-old daughter when she decided to "write" her own picture books and be a princess fairy author

Five of your favorite authors:

Charlaine Harris
MaryJanice Davidson
Stephanie Rowe
Katie MacAlister
Elizabeth Peters

Describe five of your heroes/heroines through your eyes:

Lizzie – A straight laced preschool teacher who types her grocery lists on the computer, has never had a library late fee and desperately wants to have a safe, predictable, normal life. She's well on her way, until she learns she's a demon slayer – and all hell is after her.

Dimitri – A dangerously sexy shape shifting griffin that has been searching for years to find a demon slayer. He's not above seduction to get what he wants, even if he ends up getting more than he bargained for.

Grandma Gertie – A seventy-eight-year old biker witch, and Lizzie's long lost Grandma. Loves life on the road, her hot pink Harley and her biker witch gang. Tends to swig Jack Daniels straight from the bottle, is too brave for her own good, and given the chance, will brew up spells in recycled Smuckers jars.

Crazy Frieda – A member of Grandma Gertie's biker witch gang with a penchant for squirrel cacciatore and the ability to see both sides of an issue. Takes an interest in Lizzie, but refuses to baby her. Instead, she offers tough love while guiding our fledgling demon slayer on her mission.

Pirate – Lizzie's Jack Russell Terrier. Loyal and honest, obsessed with food, he can now talk (thanks to Lizzie's new powers). Has a big heart. Tends to say and do whatever is on his mind.

Five reasons to read your books:

Readers have told me that The Accidental Demon Slayer:
Has made them laugh
Is surprisingly touching
Offers something "fresh and unique," while still staying true to what we love about paranormals
Delivers "non-stop fun."
Is guaranteed to surprise you

Hi Angie, just got thru reading the first chapter of your book, and am still giggling. Love paranormal stories and the humor was definitely an added bonus.

I have to admit he is one of the reasons I started watching Lost. Of course once you watch one episode of that show, you're hooked.

Glad you enjoyed the first chapter, Cathy. I had a ball writing The Accidental Demon Slayer.

Hi Tetewa and Cathy!

Angie's five has me excited about her book. She has some great authors in her favorites that make me laugh, I'm hoping that Angie's book gives me the giggles too.

If anyone is in San Francisco, Angie is attending RWA and she'll be signing books on July 30th.

Hugs, Danette

Great fantastic fives! Your characters sound so cool Angie! Your book sounds great! I love the unusual plot. I am wild about shifter heroes and love that you used something so unusual as a griffin.

I'm surprised there aren't more griffin heroes out there - griffins are so sexy. They're strong, stoic protector types with a loyalty streak a mile long.

Griffins were used in the early Church (I'm talking middle ages) as a symbol of marriage and commitment because they mate for life.

Fabulous fantastic fives! I so need to read this book! And I never knew the facts behind Griffins which really makes your hero so much more attractive. Gotta love a man who can commit with all his heart.
