Fantastic Fives on Shelley Munro

Five words and/or phrases that describe you:

Shy
Optimistic
Determined (hubby might say stubborn)
Quirky
Loyal

Five People or things that inspire you:

Travel
Nature
Reading other author’s books
My husband
Chocolate

Five of your favorite authors:

Nora Roberts/JD Robb
Lora Leigh
Janet Evanovich
Jim Butcher
Keri Arthur

Describe five of your heroes/heroines through your eyes:

Janaya from Talking Dogs, Aliens and Purple People Eaters is an alien with attitude, a highly trained bodyguard who is initially resistant to change because she thinks it will change the life path she needs to succeed. Life on a foreign planet, amongst strangers isn’t what she wants until she meets Luke and makes friends on Earth.
Emily from Scarlet Woman is quirky and determined to change her life, especially after her first husband dies. She’s loyal, fun and anchors the Mitchell brothers and their partners into a tight-knit family group.
Alice from Fancy Free is thrown into a situation where she’s out-of-her depth. She equates money with security but gradually learns that security is more than a dollar amount. It's great friends who will stand by you no matter.
Lane from Playing to Win comes across as arrogant and bossy at first, using his fame to make things happen. This is really a shield to protect him from the users who follow him and want to coast in his fame. When he meets Kate and her son, he opens up and is loyal, loving and protective.
Dillon from Last Wish isn’t really looking for love but when he sees Zane he knows what he wants and goes after it. Determined, he’s not letting Zane get away and when Zane is in danger, he’s willing to do anything to protect the man he loves, even if it’s at his own expense.

Five reasons to read your books:

They’re set in exotic places.
They have alpha heroes.
They have quirky heroines who are emotionally strong and give the heroes a run for their money.
They often have humor in them, so they’re the perfect read after a hard day at work.
They’re hot and spicy reads.

Hi Rebekah,

I'm a huge Nora Roberts fan. I think she's a wonderful writer and love her character dialogue and the way she uses words.

Cathy - I've been meaning to pick up a copy of one of Shannon's books. I've heard great things about them.

Danette - thanks so much. Now if only my computer problems would resolve themselves!

Love the five reasons to read your books! Give me an alpha any day! :)

Also, I enjoy reading four of the authors you have on your list. I haven't read any by Jim Butcher, but I love his wife Shannon's books. So good!

Irwirum - thanks! I'm a huge paranormal fan, and it was really hard just listing five authors.

pamk - thanks. As I mentioned above I could have listed around 20authors I love and who inspire me.

annalisa - I'm a recent convert to Jim Butcher, but I just love Harry Dresden. I really MUST find one of his wife's books. Everyone is saying the same thing, about how good they are.

Linda - thanks! I must admit, I love my characters. :)

Dawn - what???? No Evanovich? I love Joe and Ranger and Stephanie's grandma just cracks me up so much. My hubby won't let me read them in bed because I laugh so much. ;)

Limecello - Yes, I really like Lora Leigh's books. I see she has a couple of new ones out but I can't buy them until I finish my edits and my current WIP. I'll never get anything done if I buy Lora's new books.

Yes, isn't STEPANIE'S GRANDMA A HOOT??????

I have the same reaction from my DH - if I laugh while reading he gets the idea that he needs to call the little red wagon that transports the guys in the white coats -- know what I mean??

I appreciate humor in most stories - unless, of course, there is an extremely serious subject matter - although, sometimes a little humor in the right places will defuse a potentially explosive situation.

Love the list and all the categories - I agree with most of your answers although a few of mine would be different.
