Dead Sexy by Tate Hallaway

I want to welcome Tate Hallaway, she will be my first Fantastic Five of the week tomorrow, her second book in the Lacey Garnet series comes out on May 1st, its:

DEAD SEXY

By Tate Hallaway

(BCC)
Magic is not for the gutless. And I, Garnet Lacey, have become a seriously powerful witch.Let’s just hope I can stomach what’s coming…
I should’ve known I’d never get away with murder. Especially when the people I accidentally unleashed the dark Goddess Lilith on were Vatican witch hunters. Besides, I’ve had other things to worry about. I really don’t want my vampire boyfriend to find out my vampire ex is stowing his coffin in my basement…
Meanwhile, pesky frat boy zombies are popping up everywhere, even at Mercury Crossing, the occult bookstore I manage. And if that weren’t enough, I’ve got a gorgeous FBI agent hot on my trail.

What to do? A teensy little love spell might encourage cute FBI guy to listen to my side of the story, and I could break it any time…right? Between love spells gone wrong and sharing my body with the Goddess Lilith, a plea of innocence won’t be so easy to conjure up…

Danette Needs....

Here's a really cute meme stolen from Michelle. Google your name and the word "needs" to find out what you need in life. My name isn't as rare as I thought it was, but here's the top five of what Danette "needs".......

1~Danette needs to hang out with her friends......(I do my husband is always asking when I'm going to una** my computer chair)
2~Danette needs ticket sellers! ( What am I, a burlesque dancer? I wish :D)
3~Danette serves clients' needs....( hum,i wonder what that means)
4~Danette needs to study the rules of hockey before you speak.( I don't even watch that much hockey, how am I supposed to know the rules)
and....
5~Danette needs blood enery minute of everyday...(I knew there was a vampire named Danette out there somewhere,so I was always destined to read paranormals)

Tagged: anyone who wants to do it. The meme, that is.

Thanks Michelle that was too fun.

The Ocean

I was over at the Plot Monkeys blog and Julies question of the day got me thinking, she wanted to know where everyone's peaceful place is,so if you read their blog this might be a repeat for you with a little more.

My peaceful place is anywhere close to the ocean, right now I live in Hawaii, so it's easy when I'm stressed to go sit at the beach and just watch and listen to the waves. I used to live in the Bay Area, CA and there wasn't too much wave action going on in the bay,so I would go to San Francisco or Santa Cruz. My favorite place was Santa Cruz, when I was pregnant with my oldest daughter I'd drive a little over an hour down to Santa Cruz at around 2-3 o'clock in the morning,I'd park in this little parking lot that overlooked the boardwalk. It was beautiful seeing the moonlight on the ocean and hearing the waves crashing on the rocks. My cousin spent the night at my house one night,I was around eight months pregnant and I woke her up in the middle of the night to go to Santa Cruz, she thought it was a crazy pregnant thing, but I still go to the the beach to find my peace. I just realised during this post why one of my daughters middle names is Kailani,it means lover of the ocean. If Julie Leto is reading this thank you for posting about your peaceful place. I'd love to hear about everyone elses peaceful place, if you'd like to share.

Sleep Wanted; Apply Here

I've recently discovered that I can get through the day with only three hours of sleep.I stayed up late Saturday night reading Sex and the Single Werewolf, thinking I was going to sleep in on Sunday(um no) I'm a light sleeper,I woke up when my husband got up to use the bathroom, usually I don't wake up and stay up but the sun was coming up and I just couldn't go back to sleep with light in my eyes. I got up and went downstairs and turned on my computer'my email had author chat invites,so me being the bookaholic that I am jumped on in the chats, its sometimes worth getting up to read excerpts first thing in the morning. I got a couple hours of chatting in before I had to get the kids up and dresses to go to my husbands baseball game.It was a hot day out at the park,I'd get a stray cloud for a couple minutes of shade, but the kids got to run around and have fun.I got some sunburn. We took our oldest to her dance class after the game and the rest of us walked around the shopping center,I found the new Anita Blake comic and that was a plus.I came home afterward to get a cat nap before I had to make dinner. The evening was nice,I watched Blood Ties and the new show on SciFi, Painkiller Jane,it stars the girl from Terminator 3.Has any one else watched it?That was my long day.How was your Sunday?

Before I forget,Heroes starts tonight, for all those who have been waiting. What's going to happen when Peter and Sylar face off?

Five of your favorite authors

Janet Evanovich (Only the Plum novels)
Kelley Armstrong
Kay Hooper
Beth Williamson
Alison Kent

Describe five of your heroes/heroines of your books in you eyes

LEXY SIGNORINO ~ Kick Ass private detective from THE CRIB in the Pure Sex anthology. She is one of my favorites. A tough-as-nails on the outside woman who holds family, and all it means, dear. She's tough, and protective, and she isn't completely moral when it comes to the law, but she is when it comes to wrong and right.
KANE MICHAELS _ The hero in SEX AS A WEAPON in The Cop anthology.
Hot, alpha male but in a very quiet confident way. Not In-your-face alpha. Just supremely confident sexy detective. Dresses in suits and tie, but that can;t hide the awesome build, especially well built thighs that make you want lick and nibble your way ....
JOE CARSON ~ From BOUND, Joe is a private security specialist, complete alpha dog who makes you feel like his private slut, and his precious princess at the same time. A man who knows when his woman craves a little dominance, and when she needs his gentleness.
MIA JONES ~ From Passion Play in LUSH. She's a funky independent woman with an artists soul who quits her day job to follow her dream of being a jewelry designer. Mia is the type of person who inspires whoever is around her to also go after what they want, be it a man, a job, or a dream.
VALENTINE WARD ~ TROUBLE will be released in August, and Val is the hero. He's a nightclub owner who grew up rough and worked for everything he has. Even though he's been burned by love once, he's smart enough to know when something is more than sexual - and to fight for it.

Five reasons to read your books

Hot sex,
Great characters
Real people problems.
They will take you away from your every day life for a few hours and make you feel great!
Did I mention the hot sex?

A Fun Contest from New Loose Id Author

Annie Dean is celebrating her forthcoming Loose Id release The Average Girl's Guide to Getting Laid with a cute caption contest.
(BCC)

Ellie Campbell is a small-town woman with a vanilla sex life at the best of times. Though she has friends and a modestly successful career as a travel writer, she's come to accept that she'll probably never have an orgasm outside of masturbation. But all that changes when a drunken dare results in a risqué proposal, something nobody believes Ellie can pull off, writing a guide to teach the average woman how to seek pleasure like men do. She's not looking for Mr. Right; she just wants to win a bet. But in the game of love, sometimes when you risk your heart you win it all.

A Book That Will Make You HOT

LUSH By Sasha White

(BCC)

The pleasure is all yours if you’re ready to let your fantasies take control and surrender yourself to desire…

"The Principles of Lust"
Sleek and sexy erotic art gallery owner Teal Jamison knows what she likes and isn’t afraid to let carpenter Zack Dillon know that her current fantasy features him in all his masculine glory. But Zack has a deliciously different game in mind for a woman accustomed to taking charge…

"Passion Play"
Quick to follow where passion leads, then back off when things get too close, jewelry designer Mia Jones’s sensual odyssey with singles columnist Dominick Jamison is perfect: hot, sweet, and with no risk of complications. But how long can her heart stay cold—when she’s lost in the heat of a man devoted to every forbidden pleasure her body craves?

"Sexual Healing"
When massage therapist Caitlyn Ellis shows photographer Jack Lowell the joys of sensual self love for the camera, he can’t resist the erotic invitation to take pleasure in her lush curves—or deny himself the hands-on ecstasy of loving a beautiful woman determined to heal his battered soul…by setting his body on fire.

Lush was a wonderful anthology of sensual stories. Sasha knows how make a story feel like it could be your own. All the stories shined for me, but the one that caught me was "Passion Play",
the characters worlds collide when they first meet,Mia is accidently pushed into Dominick and gives him a hot kiss right in the middle of the park and then just walks away, I don't know what I'd do if a perfect stranger hooked me up with a PDA, especially a good looking one. These stories will have you needing to take a cold shower after you finished.

My Favorite part of the book was when Dominick says to himself, I should probably put Mia to Bed and leave. It would be the gentlemanly thing to do;after all, this was our first real date.Only I didn't care if it was our fiftieth,I didn't want to leave her.

Sasha White is a great author who writes books you can learn from.I'd keep her books in that "special " bedside drawer if I had one.You can chat with Sasha anytime on her blog and shes
got goodies on her website such as her gallery and free reads.Plus shes kind enough to be my first Fantastic Fives Author tomorrow,so come back tomorrow to read a little more behind this wonderful author.

Gecko's and News

I had the hardest time falling asleep last night. Gecko's are normal in Hawaii household's but usually they frequent my living room. I've had little tiny ones come in and out of my room, but last night the gecko on my wall was too big for my comfort zone,I just kept thinking he was going to jump in bed with me. I didn' fall asleep until he left the room,he just kept staring at me. I read too many paranormals and in the back of my mind,I'm thinking hawaiian shape-shifter.If I see him again I'll take a picture............On to the news I've written to a few of my favorite authors to see if they'll guest blog for me,I'm going to start what I call the Fantastic Fives, it will be my first interview type blog .My first one will be this friday with romance author Sasha White.

Must Read

Real Vampires Have Curves by Gerry Bartlett
(BCC)

What-did you think all vamps were pale, thin and brooding? Don't I wish.

Gloriana St. Clair is an eternally "full-figured" vampire-she just happened to be bloating when a sexy Scotsman sank his teeth into her. She and said Scot-Angus Jeremiah Campbell III, aka Jeremy Blade-have been on and off again for centuries, currently off. A couple hundred years has taught them how to press each other's buttons-in good ways and bad.

Glory's headed for Austin and a new business venture: Vintage Vamp's Emporium. After all, she loves clothes, and she is an antique. Only problem is, there's a billionaire techno-freak vampire hunter on the loose. Blade's in total he-vampire mode, and wants Glory to move in with him so he can "protect" her. But it's time for this vamp to explore her own powers

Most paranormals give you great fantasies, this one gave me the yummy fantasies and it made me feel good about myself. The main character Glory is a curvaceous vampire who has hot vamps at her beck and call. What woman wouldn't want that? She a woman whos found her forte and goes for it without letting anyone get in the way.I don't want to spoil the book, but this book had me laughing ,crying and wanting to be there with or even as Glory through her up and downs.I look forward to reading the next book in the series, Real Vamipres Live Large ,which comes out on July 3rd.

My favorite quote from Glory is "Immortals are resilient. We have to be.'Cause you know there will be a tomorrow.Might as well make the best of it."
